PTC today issued a press statement taking a stand on Ukraine’s side in Putin’s war. Without calling the war a war. It is at least the first such statement from the industrial software vendors to come to my attention via the various press distribution lists. Hopefully, there will be more to come. Here’s the statement:
“PTC stands with the Ukrainian people and strongly condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In response to this unprovoked invasion, which to date has needlessly cost lives and forced many Ukrainians to flee their homes and seek safety, PTC will cease all business activities and sales in Russia.
At this critical moment, the human impact of this tragedy must be paramount. To support humanitarian efforts for the Ukrainian people, PTC will donate $1 million through its foundation. PTC joins all those around the world calling for peace and an end to this conflict as soon as possible.”
