The automation system ctrlX AUTOMATION from Bosch Rexroth overcomes the classic boundaries between machine control, the IT world and the Internet of Things. With the real-time-capable Linux operating system, open standards throughout, app programming technology, web-based engineering and a comprehensive IoT connection, ctrlX AUTOMATION reduces component and engineering costs by 30 to 50 %.
The Linux-based operating system ctrlX OS enables maximum openness in automation. It is designed for real-time use and can be used at all levels – from the field level to edge devices and the cloud. Since 2022, ctrlX OS has not only been available on the control system ctrlX CORE, but also as a separate solution for the industrial environment. This supports the vision of an all-encompassing automation world in which competitors become partners and users help shape the solutions. By using ctrlX OS, users gain access to the entire ecosystem with all digital services.
