Siemens Digital Industries Software announced that it has entered into a purchase agreement with ZONA Technology, Inc., a provider of aeroelastic simulation solutions. The addition to the Xcelerator portfolio is expected to enable customers to more quickly design their digital thread for more sustainable innovation.

ZONA Technology, Inc. technology will become part of the Simcenter software portfolio, enabling end-to-end aircraft design and certification analysis of the digital thread from initial concept studies through full-fidelity aircraft design optimization to build certification and documentation. The combination of ZONA Technology, Inc.’s aeroelastic methods with Simcenter’s simulation capabilities is expected to reduce reliance on third-party aeroelastic tools and integrate previously disjointed airframe analysis, simulation and verification workflows.
