With EPLAN Cogineer users can generate electrical and fluid power schematics at the push of a button – without requiring expert knowledge, specialist programming ability or extensive training. EPLAN Cogineer gives users flexibility in the way they work, no matter whether they take a function-based or machine-based approach. Individual design methods will not require modification, it will just become much faster. The system can be used instantly by EPLAN Platform customers. Cogineer is divided into two parts: Designer and Project Builder. The latter is a declarative interface that is automatically created on the basis of configuration variables.
EPLAN Engineering Configuration (EEC)
The EPLAN Engineering Configuration (EEC) is our mechatronics solution and acts as the control center that realizes a bridge between mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, control technology and documentation. In practice every machine or every planned product respectively is first divided into functional units. All the software and hardware information can be generated from a modular unit. This includes, for example electrical schematics, sensor / actuator lists, bills of materials, mechanical drawings, technical descriptions or also the PLC software. Existing systems are integrated in the EEC and continue to fulfill their typical function.
EPLAN Electric P8
EPLAN Electric P8 is a CAE system with unlimited possibilities for project planning, documentation, and management of automation projects. With your choice of graphical or object orientation as well as refined platform technology, this high-end system is breaking new ground in electrical engineering. Its functional scope and uniform data basis with fluid / EI&C technology and enclosure manufacturing support interdisciplinary working on the basis of the EPLAN Platform. Data from earlier planning phases can simply be imported using interfaces like ODBC, XML, or Excel – for perfect integration.
EPLAN Fluid allows fluid-specific engineering with automated documentation. Simple handling, numerous check functions and standards support accelerate designing. In comparison to conventional, usually CAD-based systems EPLAN Fluid contains unique logic functions and automatic functions. Through autoconnecting all the connections are generated automatically, can have logic properties assigned to them and are evaluated. So that you have an overview of all the components including all the small parts such as connecting pieces, hoses or pipes.
EPLAN Pro Panel
With EPLAN Pro Panel Professional planning, 3D layout, manufacturing, and mounting merge, through a uniform data basis, to form a fully integrated solution. Devices that were designed in electrical and fluid engineering can now be used directly for the 3D mounting layout – a data synchronization or the complex feedback of bill of materials information is now a thing of the past. From dynamic collision checking to automatic checking of installation conditions: The software makes professional 3D layout planning easy even for the occasional user. Manufacturing-relevant NC data on drill holes or milling are taken into account in the 3D model. The data can be transferred directly to the production system via an NC interface.
EPLAN Preplanning is a CAE software solution for the technical preplanning of machines and systems. It supports both graphical and database-driven working methods. In each case, the data is transferred seamlessly to the interdisciplinary detail design. The individual system configuration enables flexible adaptation to established engineering processes.
The EPLAN solutions are connected to one another via the EPLAN Platform. This ensures that all applications are provided with the same basic data and functions, thus improving project quality. There is no need for manual data reconciliation, which means processes are accelerated and the focus can be brought back to the important engineering work. The EPLAN Platform technology represents the gradual introduction of a parallel engineering system which provides real potential for optimisation.
EPLAN Data Portal
The EPLAN Data Portal is a web service, built into the EPLAN Platform, which provides online access to valuable device data from numerous component manufacturers. This data can then be dragged and dropped into the EPLAN documentation. All products anchored to the EPLAN Platform can access this service. Simply adding the components available to the project reduces configuration work and increases the quality of the machine and system documentation.
EPLAN Harness proD
EPLAN Harness proD is a modern 3D software system for the efficient design and documentation of cable harnesses. The system’s strengths lie in the automated steps involved, from importing the wiring lists from the EPLAN Platform to routing the cables and generating the documentation and 2D nailboard drawings. The ability to take over mechanically relevant information from various MCAD systems and the ECAD connection information means that EPLAN Harness proD has the potential to be seamlessly integrated into PDM environments. This allows for the design of the cable harness even when there is no mechanical prototype available.
