The ONCITE DPS Track & Trace application from German Edge Cloud (GEC) is now available on the Cofinity-X marketplace. The solution offers manufacturing companies in the automotive industry improved transparency, efficiency and traceability. ONCITE DPS is Catena-X certified and meets the high standards of the ecosystem.
“The automotive industry is in the midst of profound change. The pressure to increase efficiency and innovate as well as regulatory requirements are becoming ever greater. Solutions for the digitalization of processes in automotive manufacturing and the exchange of data between suppliers and OEMs are becoming indispensable components.
Our ONCITE DPS supports these objectives. The re-certification according to Catena-X standards shows that we are on the right track,” explains Bernd Kremer, COO Industrial Solutions at German Edge Cloud.
The Catena-X network lays the foundation for seamless traceability: all participants use a shared ecosystem to document their hardware and software deployments and exchange information. GEC has been a founding member of the consortium for three years and provides companies in the automotive manufacturing environment with easy access to the Catena-X ecosystem with the Catena-X-certified ONCITE DPS.
Track & Trace easy to use via Cofinity-X
“Thanks to the Cofinity-X platform, we can ideally position our Catena-X solution concept with the certified ONCITE DPS. Our Track & Trace solution is thus represented in an important marketplace. The cooperation with Cofinity-X was exemplary and based on trust. We look forward to further cooperation and wish the platform a high level of traffic,” says Dieter Meuser, CEO of German Edge Cloud.
The Track & Trace solution enables seamless tracking of components across the entire supply chain. With a unique ID or serial number, all relevant data on a component can be recorded and analyzed, resulting in a better overview and traceability of production and delivery processes. Data is collected from all relevant data sources such as sensors, IT systems, plants, transport systems, etc., linked to the component and stored in a valid data memory (Device History Record – DHR). With the help of a unique ID/serial number, all relevant information on this part can then be read and analyzed.
Thomas Rösch, CEO of Cofinity-X, says: “We at Cofinity-X are grateful for the successful cooperation with German Edge Cloud in the past and are pleased that this solution from GEC is now available on the market. We look forward to further cooperation and to GEC being one of the drivers of Catena-X in the future.”
