On April 28 and 29, 2021, EPLAN will organize a virtual fair from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. each day – now for the sixth time, but for the first time over two days. The EPLAN Virtual Fair was already well established before everyone had to switch to virtual events last year because of the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s an example of how being a pioneer in digitalization can pay off.
According to the provider, visitors can expect a diverse range of topics related to professional engineering and end-to-end processes. Live talks at executive level, best practice examples from customers and a new partner area have been announced. Webcasts and software demos will provide insight into the further development of the EPLAN platform, including in the cloud context.
Less than two weeks after the digital Hannover Fair, EPLAN opens the doors to its own digital event of the year. As the provider says, the EPLAN Virtual Fair has a new, clear design and is expected to bring a variety of topic-specific enhancements for management and users. “Following the success of recent years, we are now expanding the EPLAN Virtual Fair to two full days in all different time zones,” said Haluk Menderes, managing director of EPLAN Software & Service (Photos EPLAN).
Compared to 2019, EPLAN counted around 20 percent more participants from over 70 countries last year. The expanded event in 2021 is intended to meet the growing interest. Presentations and talks at management level on the industrial automation ecosystem, the potential in industrial control and switchgear engineering and novel methods in software development such as round-trip engineering will be complemented this year by live talks in industry management – for example in automotive, energy, building services, maritime and process industries. The opportunities offered by the new cloud services as part of EPLAN ePulse are also a topic. And there will also be a fun offer: Visitors can compete against each other in various online games. Three online update trainings for the EPLAN platform can be won.
A new community area has been created where all participating companies in the new EPLAN Partner Network can present themselves. A small trade fair within the Virtual Fair. From EPLAN’s point of view, numerous networking opportunities are another decisive reason for the large number of visitors from all over the world: A live chat, this time supplemented by a 1:1 video chat, offers interested participants the opportunity to exchange ideas across national borders in virtual space.
