Eplan has launched the new Eplan Platform 2026: a fundamental revision of all products and a portfolio that is more tailored to the user and his needs. And some previously optional extensions are now standard in some expansion stages.

Jan Fleming, VP Customer Journey at Eplan, summarizes the innovations as follows: “We have consistently aligned our product portfolio with the tasks and workflows of our customers. The Eplan Platform 2026 provides users with maximum support in their respective fields of application. This means: more simplicity in engineering and at the same time valuable additional services that make our customers even more efficient.”
The portfolio has been specifically tailored to the engineering requirements of the individual market segments. For operators and planners in Eplan Preplanning, for control cabinet construction in Pro Panel and for mechanical engineering in Eplan Electric P8.
What is new is that the cloud-based Eplan Collaboration Apps, the Eplan Data Portal, Parts Management eStock and Data Management eManage are included in the scope of these three packages.
Eplan Preplanning now also covers the electrical engineering requirements in the early planning phase in the form of single-pole circuit diagrams. This means that the software can be used not only by system integrators, but also by operators and planners in basic engineering. Users benefit from preconfigured content such as symbols, sample data and forms that are specifically tailored to the requirements of mechanical engineering, control cabinet and switchgear construction, energy technology and building automation.
Cloud apps without additional costs
The cloud apps for article management, data management and viewing Eplan projects via viewer are now included. As soon as a user activates their Eplan Platform 2026 license, the extended range of functions is available to them. All they have to do is install the new software – at no additional cost.
The new Eplan platform can be integrated into ERP and PDM systems via standard interfaces. The digital data from the electrical design can be used directly in the production of control cabinets or in the wiring of machines and systems. In the field of automation technology, standard PLC planning and programming systems can also be linked directly via standard formats.
Another important innovation: Access from the article management in Eplan now allows direct article data selection in the Data Portal. Users no longer have to “jump” from the platform to the portal. A click in Eplan Electric P8 takes them directly to the article selection in the portal and they can download the required project data immediately.
This also applies to cloud-based article management. And with more than 400 new properties for articles, they can now be described even more precisely.
The Eplan Download Center is now available for every Eplan user: Via eplan.com, users can directly access software, tools, useful eLearnings or license information.
There they can find information on the release currently in use as well as individual updates, which also allow larger update jumps from an older previous version with a click.
