The worldwide expert exchange EPLAN Forum (previously EF|A) will take place  as a hybrid event again in Cologne, this year on September 25 and 26. Topics include: Automated engineering, machine cabling and ERP and PDM integration.

Solution provider EPLAN welcomed over 300 guests on site and online last year. The EPLAN Forum 2024 invites interested parties from all over the world to exchange top-class knowledge. Participants can expect numerous practical reports – presented live by companies such as Bender Solutions (DE), Kaeser Kompressoren (DE), Red Eléctrica de España (ES), PMS Elektro- und Automationstechnik (AT), Rockwell Automation (USA), TK Elevator (ES), Winkler and Dünnebier Süßwarenmaschinen (DE).

Harold van Waardenburg, Director Vertical Market Management, is quoted as saying: “More and more companies are focusing on eliminating manual work and expanding their automation in engineering. They are entering the ‘next level’ in the automated engineering process, so to speak.” Automation in engineering is also a core topic of the forum, as is machine cabling with exact cable lengths via plug & play based on the digital twin.

Tried and tested strategies for the highest possible degree of automation in engineering are presented. For example, the targeted integration of EPLAN data in ERP and PDM systems.

International speakers from EPLAN’s customer base will be presenting:

  • Red Eléctrica de España: Ensuring a continuous national power supply via parametric engineering for Protection & Control
  • Bender Solutions: with systematic variants to customized customer solutions in record time
  • TK Elevator: global standardization and automation
  • Rockwell Automation: variant management and automation in engineering
  • Kaeser Compressors: EPLAN-SAP integration
  • PMS Elektro- und Automationstechnik: plant engineering projects
  • Winkler+Dünnebier Süßwarenmaschinen / Hahn Automation: Electrification of production lines with digital twin
