On September 21 and 22, EF|A will take place in Düsseldorf and online. Modularization, standardization and automation – these are the topics again this year. The enormous pressure to act in mechanical and plant engineering explains a high number of registrations for the international event with participants from over 12 countries. In practice-oriented presentations, companies will once again show their next steps on the way to Automated Engineering.
The general conditions in mechanical and plant engineering are characterized by supply bottlenecks, a shortage of skilled workers and ever more individualization. Automation can improve processes and increase order throughput. This can be achieved on the basis of modularization and standardization.

Experts from all over the world will exchange ideas in September at the EF|A – the “Eplan Forum for Automated Engineering”. The hybrid event offers space to network live in Düsseldorf or online with experts from all over the world. The established forum thrives on practical experience reports – presented live by Andritz Digital Factory Ltd, Vortmann Steel Machinery, Arburg, Schmitt & Sohn and Atlas Copco Airpower.

And from networking with each other during the two days of intensive exchange. In the “Meet and Match”, people can arrange to meet in advance of the event and network with each other on site in a speed-dating format.

Presentations, dive-in and hands-on sessions for management to users – here are excerpts from the range of topics:

  • Siemens: Circuit diagram configuration for Sivacon switchgears
  • VDMA: Insights on variant management in mechanical engineering
  • Arburg: The digital wiring of machines in test
  • Atlas Copco: Automated documentation in compressor manufacturing
  • Schmitt & Sohn: Automated engineering in international elevator construction

Eplan partners such as Configit, Encoway and SAE will also be represented with presentations on further strategic orientation as well as their own virtual partner stands.
