With the aim of bringing shipbuilding-specific PLM solutions to market, CONTACT and shipbuilding engineering software provider Cadmatic have entered into an OEM partnership.
Cadmatic is an engineering software provider founded in the mid-eighties with its headquarters in Turku, Finland. Currently, the family-owned company has around 280 employees and industrial customers in 60 countries. The main areas of application are shipbuilding and the process industry. According to the company’s own information, around 40 percent of all ships worldwide are designed with the software from Turku.
In the future, Cadmatic will use the low-code technology platform CONTACT Elements to support shipyards in digitalization along the entire lifecycle of shipbuilding projects. The modular CONTACT Elements platform is based on open software technologies and offers a broad portfolio of industry applications used by thousands of customers in various industries worldwide. The platform provides the agility needed to flexibly adapt Cadmatic solutions to new requirements and significantly reduce the complexity of shipbuilding processes.
